About Me

I believe spaces – homes, offices, restaurants – matter in life. I am passionate about helping clients find, create, and live in life-enhancing spaces.

In real estate, success for me is when buyers know I understand their needs and I help them find the right property with the right spaces to enhance their lives. With sellers my goal is to maximize their sale price by preparing the property in a way that will appeal to and attract the greatest number of buyers. As a renovation consultant, success for me is when the renovation not only beautifies a space, but makes life better for the occupants.

I know buying, selling, or renovating a home is a complex and emotional process and I try to make it as easy as I can. I am organized, professional, hardworking, knowledgeable, responsive, and very committed to my clients. I want my clients to feel empowered and satisfied with the process. You can be assured I will always work hard to earn your business!

In a previous career, I spent over a decade doing policy research here in Washington at the Urban Institute. I loved my work in the policy world in DC, but my desire to help people with their houses always nagged at me. In 2006, I started a small renovation consulting company and later bought, rehabbed, and sold seven homes in several DC neighborhoods. Thanks to this work, I eventually landed in my present career in real estate and renovation.

I am proud to have been a DC resident since 1997. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and I have a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. I am a licensed REALTOR(R) in DC.
